Description from the seller
Artistic vision and emotional impact. Capture a true sacred Grail of Pop Art and Italian Nouveau Réalisme with this monumental, multi-decollage masterpiece by the world-renowned maestro Mimmo Rotella (1918-2006). Titled "La Valle dell'Eden" (East of Eden), this spectacular large-scale composition pays homage to Hollywood's ultimate rebellious icon, James Dean, with references also to Marlon Brando. Rotella masterfully employs his distinctive artistic language: actual fragments of torn film posters are superimposed onto a rich silkscreened base on heavy cardboard, creating a rugged urban crust that is highly tactile and multidimensional. This specific work is an extremely exclusive Artist's Proof (AP), arising from a historic elite edition, making it a high-level collectible piece. Hand-signed in graphite by the master, it presents as a work of great cinematic impact, conceived to be the prestige centerpiece of luxury modern lofts, high-level art galleries, or refined contemporary collections.
