Description from the seller
Ervin Neuhaus (Hungary, 1928-2012) Untitled (Abstract Composition), 1970s, acrylic, mixed media and collage on a frame assembled by interlocking joints, 120x120 cm, signature on the back on the frame (faded). Exhibitions: Exhibitions: Arte Materica, thematic show, 2012, Galleria d'Arte Piero Della Francesca, Arezzo. Bibliography: Catalog of the Arte Materica exhibition, Edizioni d'Arte Galleria Piero Della Francesca. Documentation: Certificate of authenticity from the Galleria d'Arte Piero Della Francesca (Arezzo), original printed copy of the catalog in which the work is published. Conditions overall good, with some defects and small stains, slight fading, losses and color flaking, no serious damage, no sign of restoration, frame deliberately irregular, signature faded but legible (it's on the frame), the work overall magnificent. Stunning large-format work by Ervin Neuhaus, a Hungarian-born artist who also worked in the former Yugoslavia and in Israel after World War II. Neuhaus's paintings are abstract compositions of great chromatic intensity, often with mosaic-like geometries and an alternation of shapes, enhanced by the combined use of collage and painting. Shipping by courier, professional packing. Shipping costs are high due to the artwork's large size.
