The Cartier Cougar Must de Cartier fountain pen presented in this lot is in excellent overall condition, with a very well cared-for appearance fully in keeping with a piece of its category and era.

The body and cap, made of black resin with a guilloche pattern, retain very good shine and well-defined vertical grooves, with no material loss or deformations. The surface shows only extremely light signs of superficial use, practically imperceptible to the naked eye and typical of careful handling over time. The whole maintains an elegant and highly attractive aesthetic.

The gold-plated elements — clip, rings and end pieces — have a bright, uniform finish, with excellent visual presence. No significant wear is seen on the plating and the pieces maintain their structural and aesthetic integrity.

The nib, made of solid 18-karat gold (750), engraved with the Cartier emblem, is in very good condition, properly aligned and retaining a clean tipping. The feed fins are in perfect structural condition, ensuring proper ink flow regulation.

The writing system has been inspected and tested for proper operation, with the piece delivered fully operational and ready to write, as is customary for pieces prepared by Collecting Legacy.
