Jenny Verplanke (1952) - Stille Heimwee

The painting 'Stille heimwee' is by Jenten (Jenny Verplanke) (born 1952). This Dutch artist has her studio in Houtave (Belgium).

This artist is involved, among other things, with the non-profit Art for All. This association aims, among other things, to make orphans, street children, and child soldiers “desire to live” again through art: by bringing joy to life through creativity. The organization operates worldwide. Her husband Wim Engels is the chair of Art for All.

'Stille heimwee' was created by Jenten after a stay in Africa. She was struck by the earthy colors. The work has a sober color palette. She uses textured paint. The painting has depth. The work fits a modern, classical, or Japandi interior.

The work measures 80 by 80 cm and is signed bottom left (see photo). Around 2008 the painting was purchased in Jenten’s studio. It has hung until today in our living room (non-smoking) and is in perfect condition.

We are offering two paintings by this artist. The second painting ('History Shows Hope on the Future IX') has the same dimensions. The two works can be hung side by side and form a two-piece unit.

The minimum price is (ridiculously) low. Packing and shipping are at cost. Pickup is advisable.
