The Benzon Trading Company founded in 1922 in Denmark by Niels Benzon mainly imported Wahl-
Eversharp pens to Denmark.
Benzon had worked at Wahl-Eversharp in the United States for a period of time and obtained the
exclusive rights to import Wahl-Eversharp pens into Scandinavia, due to import restrictions in 1933 and
the shortage of Wahl-pens. Eversharp, the Copenhagen-based Benzon Trading Company began
manufacturing their own line of pens, called Big Ben.
