Splendid Weekly Collection of Vintage Pipes + Wooden Display Stand with Drawer
I am putting up for sale a refined collection of 8 antique, historic, and collectible pipes, including iconic brands from Italian and international craftsmanship. The lot also includes a very rare and elegant weekly pipe display stand in solid wood, ideal for collectors or connoisseurs of slow smoking.
THE WEEKLY DISPLAY: A premium antique desk display stand in wood with 7 dedicated slots. Each position is labeled with metal tags bearing the initials of the days of the Italian week (L, M, M, G, V, S, D), a system historically designed to ensure proper resting of the briar. Complete with a practical lower drawer for accessories (pipe cleaners, brushes, filters). Solid and intact structure with a beautiful patina of the era.
LIST AND DETAILS OF PIPES INCLUDED IN THE LOT:
Ural (Sea Foam / Meerschaum): A pipe of superb Turkish craftsmanship, hand-carved with floral/geometric motifs. Exceptional condition (unsmoked/never lit), complete with original rigid case and golden authenticity seal "Deniz Ural". Yellow mouthpiece and intact screw-in tenon.
Mastro de Paja - Natura Stem: Splendid bent flame straight model from the famous artisanal Pesaro workshop. Clear punchings and the iconic three wavy lines logo on the mouthpiece.
Mastro de Paja - Bent Dublin Rusticata: Deep hand-rusticated finish with smooth rim for contrast. Great presence and high-quality briar.
Mastro de Paja - Billiard/Egg Smooth: Classic model with natural flame of the briar visible. Stamped on the shank.
Peterson of Dublin - System Smooth: Historic Irish brand. Equipped with the famous mouthpiece featuring the patented P-Lip system oriented upward for a fresh smoke.
Savinelli - 311 KS (King Size): Sitter/Cherrywood shape with a brown sandblasted finish. The flat base allows the pipe to rest on the table by itself. Readable numerical stamping.
Brebbia - Linea "Sino": Classic and elegant smooth Billiard shape produced in Varese. Diamond-shaped logo on the mouthpiece.
Molina - Olivo: Distinctive and aesthetic curved pipe in natural olive wood, characterized by the typical pale striped grain. Stamped "Olivo" on the shank.
Real Briar (Bonus): Vintage straight Billiard briar pipe with dark finish.
GENERAL CONDITIONS:
Except for the Ural sea foam pipe, which is new and never smoked, the other pipes are estate pieces (polished/used). They show normal signs of aging and use, including the natural surface oxidation on vulcanite mouthpieces, easily removable with restoration products specific to them. The briar is solid, free from cracks or structural defects.
I prefer to sell the entire lot as a block to preserve the weekly collection’s integrity. Serious offers will be considered, including for individual pieces.
