Giorgio de Chirico's Teatro Metafisico is an original lithograph from the 1970s, a limited edition P.A. signed by hand, in good condition and framed, measuring 49.5 cm by 34 cm (image) on Arches paper, depicting a Neometafisics-era composition with a Greek mythological bust and musical instruments.
Description from the seller
Fascinating original graphic artwork by Maestro Giorgio de Chirico, attributable to the famous Neometaphysical period (the 1970s).
The work presents itself as a true "Metaphysical Theater" structured on multiple spatial and symbolic levels.
At the center of the composition is the typical stage of de Chirico's iconography; musical instruments stand out, with a harp in the foreground symbolizing harmony. Beside the musical instruments rises the solemn bust of Greek mythology, while the scene is flanked by two imposing green curtains, opened to reveal a suggestive external backdrop (the shadow of the enigma).
