Emma Beatrice Pierotti's artistic production, known as MeMé, is guided by a profound sociological and philosophical inquiry that questions the human race in its entirety. Through the codes of Art Brut and material abstraction, the author uses the canvas as a tool of conceptual communication: a critical mirror of the contradictions, selfishness, and hypocrisies of contemporary civilization, contrasted with the purity of the natural world. The human race under indictment: MeMé operates as a conceptual artist using the human figure as a universal archetype to tell the conflicts of the soul. Her artistic research rests on a vision of absolute gender equality when it comes to intelligence and ability, rejecting every stereotype or gender hierarchy to focus on the intrinsic complexities of human nature. Within this global vision, the work "La donna ed i suoi estremi opposti" (The Woman and Her Opposite Extremes) focuses on the fragmentation of consciousness: The opposites of the human condition: The painting explores the constant bipolar tension that characterizes every individual, man or woman alike: the coexistence of extreme fragility and destructive strength, of rationality and animal instinct, of submission to social conventions and the push toward the wildest freedom. The chromatic symbolism of red: The visceral use of intense red, the unmistakable signature of her acrylics, does not represent a claim for gender, but embodies blood, flesh, and the vital suffering shared by all of humanity. It is the color of primal instinct that humanity attempts in vain to repress. The syringe technique: The application of color through syringes and injections symbolizes the forced intrusion of reality into the masks and superstructures that humans build to survive in society. The deep respect for the animal world: A fundamental pillar of MeMé's conceptual poetics is the great respect and sanctity attributed to the animal world, seen as the only repository of an authentic and uncontaminated harmony that humans have lost. This denunciation of destructive anthropocentrism is clearly manifested in key works such as: "Condivisione" (Sharing). In this canvas, the artist elevates the value of connection and coexistence. The work becomes a conceptual manifesto on the necessity of rediscovering an empathetic and equal alliance among living beings, celebrating the sharing of space, life, and emotional energy beyond species boundaries. "Primordiale" (Primordial): Through an imposing large-scale composition (230 x 210 cm), the painting evokes a return to the pure origins of existence; the elements of nature and ancient forms merge on the canvas to remind humanity of its original belonging to the earth, a visceral warning against the artificial distance that modern society has imposed toward animals and the environment. The critique of humanity: This vision connects directly to canvases with explicit titles such as The only wrong animals are us humans, where man is described as the only disharmonious element within a perfectly natural system, a concept rooted in the artist's past studies in naturopathy. The path and the international affirmation. Born in Tarquinia in 1990, MeMé began her true expressive revolution in 2016 with a move to Sardinia.
