Vintage IBELO (W. Germany) Gas Lighter – Hoechst Promotional Edition, Collectible
Product Description:
I am selling a premium Ibelo mechanical gas lighter, manufactured in West Germany, most likely in the 1970s - 1980s. The item is a vintage promotional edition, personalized with the logo and name of the renowned German chemical and pharmaceutical company Hoechst.
The lighter stands out for its minimalist and elegant design, featuring a robust metal casing with a satin finish (anti-fingerprint) and chrome edges. It comes with its original presentation box, made of hard plastic with a protective cream velvet interior.
Specifications and technical condition:
Manufacturer: Ibelo (officially stamped on the base cover).
Origin: W. Germany (West Germany).
Mechanism: Classic flint ignition.
Mechanical condition: Perfectly functional on the ignition side — the mechanism is free, the wheel rotates easily and produces a strong spark.
Power supply: Works with standard butane gas for lighters (it is equipped with a refill valve and a wheel at the base to adjust the flame intensity). Note: The lighter is not charged with gas at this time.
Aesthetic condition: Very good for its age, kept in the original box. It only shows small normal signs of wear/patina on the case, specific to an authentic vintage item.
