Ennio Finzi (Venice, 1931), one of the most important Italian abstract artists, made his debut in 1947 at the Bevilacqua La Masa Foundation in Venice, and in the fifties he exhibited in group shows on Spazialismo at Carlo Cardazzo's Galleria del Cavallino. He participated by invitation in the Quadriennale of 1959 and again in the 2000 edition. In 1986 he also took part in the Venice International Art Biennale.
Regarded as one of the Italian forerunners in the field of kinetic art and programmed art, from the fifties onward he develops his research within pure visuality.
