Lot of 3 Castello Cantù briar pipes - Smooth Collection + Old Antiquari KK Sandblasted + 3-position wooden stand - Vintage
Collection lot of 3 briar pipes in Italian wood from Castello, entirely handmade in Cantù. Founded in 1947 by Carlo Scotti, Castello is the brand that created the Italian neoclassical style.
Pipe details:
1. Castello Collection Liscia Bionda - Bent Dublin
Stamp: Carlo Scotti CASTELLO COLLECTION + oval CARLO SCOTTI + light metacrylate housing. Smooth finish, flame grain. Black ebonite mouthpiece.
Grading: Collection is the top of the smooth scale: TRADEMARK, CASTELLO, COLLECTION
2. Castello Liscia Scura - Bent Billiard
Stamp: CASTELLO on the mouthpiece. Smooth brown walnut finish. Classic Italian shape.
3. Castello Old Antiquari KK - Bent Apple Sabbiata
Stamp: CASTELLO OLD ANTIQUARI ITALY + KK in an oval. Sandblasted series. Sandblasted grading: ANTIQUARI, OLD ANTIQUARI, K / KK / KKK indicates briar quality. KK = second tier, highly sought after.
Conditions: Used / smoked. Cake present in the bowls, rim darkened by smoke, minor signs of use. No cracks, no deep bite marks on the mouthpiece. Sold as vintage collectible crafts objects, WITHOUT tobacco. 3-seat wooden stand included.
