Dream State explores the boundary between consciousness and the subconscious, presenting a portrait suspended between presence and absence, reality and imagination. The central figure emerges from a visual language marked by geometric shapes, spontaneous gestures and intense contrasts between oranges and shades of blue and green, creating a tension between order and fluidity.
At first glance, the work seems to reveal itself in full. However, beneath its visible surface there is a second invisible layer, designed to remain hidden from ordinary light. When exposed to UV light, this layer reveals messages and hidden elements, introducing a parallel narrative that remains inaccessible to the naked eye.
This secret dimension transforms the painting into an experience of discovery. What cannot be seen becomes as important as what is visible, in a reflection on the nature of dreams, memories and thoughts that remain hidden inside us.
Dream State invites the observer to look beyond the evident and to question perception: is what we see really all that exists? The work thus presents two coexisting realities — the reality we observe and the dream that only reveals itself when the light changes.
