Description from the seller

Studio for a coffee-toned cyanotype with a Suminagashi intervention, printed on 300 g cotton paper
21 × 15 cm, unique copy.

Ramona Zordini is a visual artist and photographer with over twenty years of research and professional practice. Her work stands out for a deep exploration of alternative printing techniques, specializing in cyanotype in all its experimental declinations: from natural botanical tonings to tri-layer stratifications, up to three-dimensional interaction with paper and sculpture.

As a teacher and trainer, she teaches alternative photography and its methodologies in prominent artistic institutions and academic contexts, conveying an artisanal and conceptual approach to photographic matter.

Her exhibition career boasts an international presence with shows held in museums and galleries in Italy and abroad. Among reference museum venues are the 516 Arts Contemporary Art Museum in Albuquerque (New Mexico), the Santa Giulia Museum in Brescia, the Museo agli Eremitani in Padova, and the MACS (Museo Arte Contemporanea Sicilia) in Catania, in addition to participations and exhibitions in international contemporary spaces and museums (in the United States and Spain).

At the heart of the artist’s poetics lies reflection on the filter — understood as an emotional and cognitive diaphragm through which we perceive reality. The filter is not a simple visual barrier, but a permeable membrane that holds memory, alters light, and transforms lived experience. In her work, the layering of pigments and the decompositions of the image become the instrument to interrogate what is screened or revealed by time and perception, preventing experience from imploding and allowing the matter itself to keep its imprints.
