DESCRIPTION OF THE WORK:
Sign it! explores adolescence as a period of identity construction, rebellion and contradiction. Through a saturated and deliberately chaotic visual language, the body becomes an intimate diary: a surface on which desires, fears, cultural references, and statements of identity are inscribed.
The drawings and messages written in red combine personal symbols with references to pop and mass culture. The crown, the categorical phrases, and the accumulation of images evoke the intensity of a stage in which we try to define ourselves from multiple and often contradictory influences. Around it, wrinkled papers, stains, and disorder reinforce that sense of emotional overflow.
However, beneath its rebellious and playful appearance, the photography preserves a certain vulnerability. Sign it! reflects on that transitional moment when we are no longer children, but we are still discovering who we want to be: a period of experimentation in which identity is written, erased, and rewritten constantly.
As staged Fine Art photography, Sign it! combines contemporary portrait, visual construction, and narrative to transform the turbulence of adolescence into a symbolic portrait of the process of becoming oneself.
