Description from the seller
This is a very rare reproduction of the famous 1933 masterpiece titled "Profilo Continuo del Duce" (Continuous Profile of the Duce), conceived by Italian artist Renato Bertelli (1900–1974), a leading figure of Futurism, a movement at the forefront of avant-garde deeply tied to the historical and cultural context of the era.
At first glance it appears as a classical bust, but that is precisely its extraordinary uniqueness: viewed closely, from any angle the unmistakable profile of Mussolini emerges with surprising continuity, characterized by his pronounced jawline.
From here the title "Profilo continuo del Duce": a fascinating and conceptually innovative work in which the profile remains visible 360 degrees — from every side, without interruptions — making it a truly unique piece and hard to find.
The design, still regarded today as extremely modern and cutting-edge, recalls the mechanical shapes typical of the industrial era, in perfect harmony with the propagandistic image of the leader as a symbol of strength and control. It is precisely this fusion of art and ideology that contributes to making the work as rare as it is significant.
This sculpture, unusual and sought-after, also embodies the concept of the "omnipresent leader," a powerful and distinctive artistic vision. Art critic Marco Moretti described the work as: "a dynamic plasticity that, without rhetoric, expresses the metaphor of a vigilant and sleepless leader, capable of seeing and controlling everything."
This precious resin reproduction, increasingly hard to find on the market, stands out for its high quality: finished with an elegant black surface and mounted on a refined base of synthetic granite. The bust measures 15 cm in height and the base 3 cm. The total height is 18 cm, with a width and depth of 11 cm, for a total weight of 1.2 kg.
The item is shipped immediately after purchase via tracked and insured service, carefully packaged to ensure its integrity.
