Edurne Arginzoniz - El pecado

A contemporary digital artwork created on an iPad, made from a collage of photographs and subsequently intervened with digital painting. The work is printed on high-quality photographic paper, preserving the intensity of the colors and the details of the original composition.

The composition centers on a series of gloved hands holding different fruits — peach, lemon, cherry, and figs — creating a visual interplay between gesture, color, texture, and sensuality. The photographic images are integrated with free, expressive brushstrokes, building a scene between figuration and abstraction.

The process begins with selecting and composing various photographs, used as collage elements. On this basis I work directly on the iPad, layering drawing, color, and digital brushstrokes. The result deliberately preserves the contrast between the almost photographic detail of the hands and fruits and the spontaneity of the painted background.

The palette of pinks, yellows, greens, blues, and purples adds luminosity and a playful character to the work. The fruits function as small focal points within a broader composition, in which the hands seem to emerge and vanish among the color blotches.
