Javel, an artist born in Abruzzo, Italy, in 1986, of Eastern European origins, is considered an important exponent of 21st-century art. In some of his works you can find elements of programmatic art but with strong street and pop accents. He is regarded as a visionary who has ventured into unexplored territories, creating works that are not easily codified. Javel abandoned a first free and gestural figuration to devote himself to a experimentation that uses painting itself as both medium and object of representation. Moving between different stylistic phases, he has developed a distinctive way of painting that plays with matter itself. In his career, he has reworked colors used by past artists, mastering them in precise composite portions, frequently exploring the reading of daily life and the fleeting dimensions of existence to fix them in time.
