Description from the seller
The most classic Peterson pipe from Dublin is the Peterson Standard System Heritage - 313 P-Lip Bent Billiard.
Equipped with a large metal ring and a wonderful curved palatal P-Lip mouthpiece in acrylic.
The Irishman Charles Peterson began producing briar pipes and in 1890 discovered the famous reservoir system.
This is a reservoir in the shank under the head whose task is to keep the tobacco dry.
All the moisture – this is the goal – is canalized into the reservoir.
Peterson pipes, made personally and exclusively by hand, are the result of long and patient work at the southern Dublin headquarters, where one of the oldest pipe factories in the world is located: Peterson of Dublin.
Characteristic of Peterson pipes is the classic, harmonious shape, elegance and practicality.
All Peterson Standard System Heritage - 313 P-Lip Bent Billiard pipes are carved from the most selected and precious briar.
System Standard first appeared in 1945, but the entry-level design has been a staple in catalogs since Charles Peterson obtained his final patent in 1898.
Designed to provide a cooler, drier smoke, each pipe features a deep reservoir inside the shank to collect excess moisture; a graduated-hole mouthpiece that channels the smoke and allows moisture to collect inside the reservoir; a sturdy nickel military-style shank for disassembly and cleaning of the pipe without damage or deformation; and our patented P-Lip tip, which draws the smoke upward, thus reducing tongue bite.
Very light and with a roomy and deep bowl, for relaxing and intense smoking sessions.
Notable in this model is the dark briar color that wraps around the whole body of the pipe.
The classic dark walnut color pairs nicely with the glossy finish and the ring; this is an elegant and functional tobacco pipe.
The exterior finish may vary slightly from the image since every Peterson briar pipe is a unique piece.
Variations refer only to the briar shades; dimensions and shape do not vary.
The pipe will be shipped with its original box and pouch.
