Taurus - - Classical guitar - 1974

I’m selling a guitar from the prestigious Taurus Barcelona house (Model 40), built in 1974 during the brand’s golden era of luthiery.

Taurus stands out for its history of collaboration with great master craftsmen such as Antonio Picado, J. Farré and Mayoral. And more renowned luthiers.

Characteristics and Woods

Construction: 100% solid wood.
Top: spruce.
Sides and back: virgin mahogany.

Sound: Spectacular, full-bodied and bright. Very versatile, ideal for both classical repertoire and flamenco.

Measurements and Setup
Scale length: 660 mm.
Nut height at the 12th fret: 3.3 mm.
Saddle height: 9.5 mm.

Condition
Fair condition. Instrument fully functional with normal signs of wear from aging. It has been restored: the back presents three cracks that have been properly stabilized and repaired by a professional, without any impact on the structure or on the sound quality.
