Description from the seller

Love Destroyed

Technique: cracks made on synthetic glass
Support: synthetic glass and wood
Dimensions: 52 × 52 cm

Love Destroyed arises from transforming fragility into artistic material.

On a surface of plexiglass, the cracks propagate like wounds, fractures and scars. At the center of the work emerges the word LOVE by Robert Indiana, recognizable yet deeply compromised: the letters seem to survive the break, traversed and deformed by a network of fractures.

The contrast between the black support and the white cracks represents the moment when something that seemed solid breaks. Love is not simply erased: it remains visible through its fractures, transforming into memory.

The plexiglass, a transparent and seemingly resistant material, thus becomes a metaphor for the fragility of feelings. Each crack is a consequence, a choice, a wound; together they build a new image of love, imperfect but still recognizable.

The work invites reflection on a question: when love breaks, does it really disappear or does it remain forever in its scars?

Unique framed work with signature on the back, certificate of authenticity.
