Luca Strati was born in Reggio Calabria in 1981, a student at the Accademia di Belle Arti di Firenze, with a predilection for sculpture. His artistic path began when he was very young, the son of the Reggio-born painter Mario Strati, and he soon developed a passion for drawing and painting with a comic and artistic character. He attended the International School of Comics in Florence from 1995 to 1997, pursuing classical artistic studies in parallel. He attended the Accademia Fiorentina di Belle Arti. He works as a freelance illustrator, concept designer and sculptor. He was the author of several artworks for the Italian fanzine dedicated to Iron Maiden.

In 2013 he began teaching anatomy and painting techniques at the International School of Comics in Jesi, now renamed ACCA ACCADEMY.

In 2022 the Steampunk Art Nouveau Tarot decks were released by Scarabeo; he worked as a concept artist for Kimera Models and as cover artist for Heavy Metal, Dynamite Comics, Zenescope, Bad Bug Media, Mount Olympus Comics, Laguna Studios, Obscure Comics, Space Between Ent.
