Montblanc StarWalker Rubber & Metal ballpoint pen with a premium resin body and platinum-plated metal components, made in Germany, from the Fine XX century, serial XN1092576, 12 cm long and 1.2 cm in diameter, in excellent condition and in working order.
Description from the seller
We present at auction a specimen with a bold, unmistakable aesthetic: the Montblanc StarWalker Rubber & Metal Ballpoint Pen. This fascinating model stands out for its architectural, contemporary design, offering a tactile and visual experience of great impact, ideal for those seeking a writing instrument with a dynamic and sporty character without ever renouncing the absolute elegance of the renowned German maison.
The body and cap are characterized by an extraordinary surface in black premium rubber, worked with a sophisticated diamond-cut grid motif. This particular textured geometry reveals glimpses of the solid metal structure beneath, creating a magnificent material contrast with the bright finishes finely plated in platinum. On the cap’s top sits the collection’s most iconic element: the striking transparent resin dome inside which the six-point white star floats magically, a universal symbol of excellence. On the ring of the elongated clip is clearly inscribed the individual serial number, an undeniable guarantee of the piece authenticity.
Technically, this prestigious instrument is configured as a ballpoint pen and is operated by a fluid, solid, and infallible rotating mechanism. The photographs showing the specimen carefully disassembled into its main components confirm the perfect and robust integrity of the internal brass mechanical structure and the surgical precision of the threads, also showing the refill inside ready for use.
The conservation status of this pen is to be considered in excellent overall condition. The rubber coating, a material that requires great care, is here beautifully preserved, intact, and pleasant to the touch, free of unusual wear or degradations. The gleaming platinum finishes are shiny and bright, showing only microscopic and entirely physiologic superficial signs due to normal, careful, and respectful handling, entirely invisible at a quick first glance.
