He taught at the Academy of Fine Arts of Catanzaro from 1979 to 1984 and at the Academy of Fine Arts of Brera from 1984 to 2012. Here he taught Courses in Decoration, Expressive Problems of the Contemporary and Creative Writing and he was a Member of the Academic Council between 2005 and 2010, he finally coordinated the Department of Research on the Contemporary, Biennium of Visual Arts, between 2004 and 2006 and directed the Brera Academy Research Center, Biennium of Visual Arts from 2007 to 2012.[1] From 2006 to 2018 he wrote for the Blog Cultura e Natura of La Stampa web and since 2015 he collaborates with the publishing house Prearo Editore. His first performance in an institution took place in 1976 at the Popular University of Naples, entitled Sign Territory Avant-Garde curated by Filiberto Menna. The Marginalia project (The Work and the Place the Place and the Work) is from 1979. The project was realized in 1982 in spaces yet to be renovated of the municipality of San Lucido, in the province of Cosenza. Here he is present with an installation and a theoretical intervention on the relationship between art and public institutions. From the eighties he returns to the painting dimension, characterized by the presence of scriptural, philosophical and poetic texts. Thus several cycles of works are born, conceived and realized for the Church of Pila, Diocese of Aosta in 2004, the Church of the Assumption of the Virgin in Lugnacco Diocese of Ivrea, the Church of St. Francis for the Diocese of Piacenza. Here are held exhibitions all curated by Andrea Del Guercio.

Meanwhile in Milan in 2004 his solo show Philo-sofie, Studio Legale Grimaldi, is presented, curated by Cristina Muccioli.

From 2005 to today his work has increasingly oriented toward a painting dimension where the poetic and literary word prevails, up to landscapes of sky and monochrome paintings.

The solo show titled “Out-Now” at Studio Valmore in Vicenza in 2006 and the one at Studio Ra, Media project, Rome titled: “I turn Round to Immanuel Kant” in 2009; in 2010 he exhibited with a solo show at Galleria Antonio Battaglia, Milan with a show titled “Una bella Giornata” curated by Maurizio Guerri and Giovanni Iovane, in 2011 a solo show in the same gallery with “una poesia”.

In 2011 he participated in: Un'altra Storia, Arte Italiana dagli anni ottanta agli anni Zero in the former Church of San Francesco, curated by Edoardo Di Mauro, Como. Also in the same year he performed at the Foundation Giuseppe Morra, Museo Hermann Nitsch, Naples, a performance titled: “The Shadow of Hegel against the Immutable Hegel” curated by Romano Gasparotti. In 2011 he exhibited at the 54th Venice Biennale, Palazzo Zerbini, Regione Calabria.

In 2012 he exhibited with a solo show titled “Adesso si mostra” at Galleria Fusion, Turin and at POW Gallery contemporary art, Milan, a collective show titled 22 Italian painters. At the Municipality of Caravaggio (Bg) at the Monastery of St. John the Baptist he is also present as curator with six artists in a show/project for the place, titled “The Picture and the Screen” - between images and negation of images - In 2013 he exhibited in Venice at the Arsenal, Venice doks, Castello 40, with “A case study”; in Cosenza at the Museum of the Present with Paths of Art in Calabria; at the Center for Documentation of Visual Arts, Luigi Di Sarro, Rome with “Start and development of a research 1982/1985”.

We note in these recent years that in 2014 a solo show titled “nevermore” at Galleria Donna Leathermann, New York; in the same year at MAON (Museum of the Eighth and the Nineteenth Century, Palazzo Vitari, Rende) a retrospective titled “in-verso opere dal 1977 al 2014.” In 2015 a show titled Scritture, Galleria Francesco Clivio; in the same year the Brera Academy of Fine Arts dedicates to him a show of works on paper (1975 – 2015) entitled Senso/Non senso in the Library’s hall, curated by Claudio Cerritelli.[5] In 2016 a personal show titled Impalpabile, Renaissance Palace Martirano-Spinelli in the municipality of Aieta, curated by Vittoria Coen. In 2017 Poesia Visiva, Galleria Carte scoperte and Casa dell'arte Spagna Bellora, Milan. In 2018 Contributions to the Twentieth Century, Palazzo delle Stelline, Milan curated by Tonino Sicoli where works by Umberto Boccioni and Alik Cavaliere are also featured; [6] 2019 Poesia visiva from the 60s to the 80s, Heart, space viva, Vimercate, Milan. He participates in the experimental group The sound strip poem, reading performance, at studio Prisma, Genoa, and at Museo Jorn, Savona.[7] In 2020 he performed the piece titled: Futurist Readings, a tribute to Marasco, at MAON, Museum of the Eighth and the Nineteenth Century and he carried out the solo show titled Try this lens at Galleria Antonio Battaglia, Milan.[8]
