Original acrylic painting El búho XL by E. García (100 × 70 cm), multicolour, hand-signed, created in 2026 in Spain, depicting a frontal owl in a Fauvist animal motif, with certificate signed by the artist and in excellent condition.
Description from the seller
"The Owl" is a 100 × 70 cm painting by contemporary artist Ernest García. The work presents a large frontal owl as the absolute protagonist of a fantastic, colorful composition with a strongly decorative character.
The bird's figure occupies almost the entire pictorial space. Its clear face and its large dark eyes immediately draw the gaze, while the plumage is built with free brushstrokes in cream, gray, green, and coral pink tones. On top of its head appears an unexpected pink crown, a playful element that gives the animal personality and transforms it into a nearly symbolic figure.
The dark blue background is populated by large flowers, leaves, and a yellow pear that seem to float around the owl. The combination of natural elements without realistic perspective reinforces the imaginative character of the scene and recalls the artistic freedom of naïve art and certain contemporary Fauvist currents.
The palette is based on the contrast between the deep blue of the background and the pinks, yellows, turquoises, and greens of the vegetal forms. The brushwork remains deliberately visible and spontaneous, while the simplified shapes provide freshness and a strong graphical presence.
"The Owl" combines animal painting, nature, and fantasy in a distinctive and expressive image. An especially attractive work for collectors of contemporary art, figurative painting, birds, owls, naïve art, Fauvism, and botanically colored compositions.
