Description from the seller
Original graphic by Master George Segal
The print is a copy dedicated to myself, and the dedication signifies that the master recognized the value of my technical work. Specifically, we created a new technique, namely a direct sugar method, whereas the “sugar” method, traditionally, has always been an indirect technique. The reason the total edition is 30 copies plus 12 Artist’s Proofs is that, being a particular technique, more could not be printed.
For more information, those who buy this graphic will be sent a catalog, written by myself, in which I explain the printing processes and, in particular, this one.
Colophon: aquatint on a copper plate 100x200 cm, printed in 4 colors on the same plate, Fabriano rosaspina paper 114x216 cm, edition of 30 copies and 12 Artist’s Proofs.
