MedSan’s Stranded Millennium Falcon (座礁したミレニアム・ファルコン) is a 2026 signed giclée on canvas, 40 x 40 cm, unique 1/1 edition from France, depicting a pop art Marine scene with Han Solo's ship marooned as a melancholic maritime icon.
Description from the seller
ONLY ONE EXISTS IN THE WORLD - EDITION 1/1
With this square-format work, Medsan places the Millennium Falcon from Star Wars on a wind-blasted shore and makes it the subject of a romantic seascape. Han Solo's ship occupies exactly the spot where the three-masted ships were placed by Turner or Vernet: the wreck gazed at at sunset, immense and defeated. The series “Arcade in Real Life” finds here its most melancholic variation — the icon has left the screen, and the tide has returned it to the ordinary world.
The Falcon lies lopsided on a chaos of dark rocks, at low tide, hull dented, plates torn, trails of red lead touching the gray metal. Seagulls have lined up in a row on the upper disk as on any harbor pontoon, while long amber seaweed hangs from the mandibles and the fuselage. In the foreground, a small red and black buoy reflects in a puddle and gives the scale of the giant lying down. The palette chosen by the artist rests on three tones: storm gray, warm horizon ochre, the wet black of the rocks; the slight angle of view and the luminous gap in the sky constantly bring the eye back to the silhouette. The cartouche メドサン discreetly signs the lower right corner.
The mashup says the passage of time over myths. The fastest ship in the galaxy, the one that ran the Kessel Run, has become a perch for seagulls and a support for wrack; the legend ends in a carcass, and nature copes with it without emotion. It is a memento mori addressed to our own childhood pantheon, tender and without indulgence.
A strong and contemplative piece, ideal for adding a cinematic and literary touch to an interior of a collector who loves science fiction as well as marine painting. What you receive is a creation that imitates oil painting, materialized by a pigment imprint on canvas: a single giclée print, numbered 1/1, hand-signed.

About the Studio:
Atelier Joconde is a studio of artists gathered around a living and plural contemporary creation. Established as a true place of artistic production, the studio operates both in collaborative creation and in individual approaches, depending on projects and works. Atelier Joconde is also a family adventure. Le Yack, a contemporary figurative painter, develops a narrative and introspective body of work with cinematic and realist influences. Alongside him, Medsan, oriented toward pop art painting, explores color, modern iconography, and visual culture. Finally, Neo Pablo engages in a more instinctive search, blending abstract art, brut art, and figurative abstraction. Each work is thought out, produced, and followed within the studio, with a shared artistic standard and an identity of its own for each artist.
