Elegant and authentic Sheaffer Craftsman Touchdown fountain pen, produced in the United States by the historic W.A. Sheaffer Pen Company of Fort Madison, Iowa, and datable to the early 1950s, circa 1951-1952.

The specimen features the classic glossy black, slender body with rounded ends, coordinated cap, and gold-tone metal fittings. The clip clearly bears the inscription “SHEAFFER’S”, while the body still shows the original marking:

“W.A. SHEAFFER PEN CO. – FORT MADISON, IOWA, U.S.A. – MADE IN U.S.A.”
