Description from the seller

“Imaginary wall”

When I was 18, I dreamed of becoming an actress, and for several years I tried to enter the Theater Academy in St. Petersburg. However, I soon realized that the desire to express myself had to take other forms. In fact, I found in photography a personal way to replicate the theater experience and develop my creativity. Today my stage is the studio and the script is photography, the actors are models, and the director is a photographer. Also in my photography there is the so-called "fourth wall" that indicates, in the terminology of the theatre, an "imaginary wall" placed in front of the stage between the viewer and the actors, between art and everyday life. In my photography the model (which often is me), like an actress, looks at the viewer through this invisible wall. But sometimes in the photography, like in theater, the barrier is destroyed, and the art itself blends into viewers' real life.
