For sale is an extraordinary and extremely rare collection set belonging to the famous Montblanc Writers Edition series, dedicated to Alexandre Dumas and launched on the market in 1996.
This lot is the legendary and highly sought-after variant with the "wrong signature." Due to a production error, Montblanc engraved on the cap the son's signature (Alexandre Dumas fils) with the ascending flourish, rather than that of the father, the author of The Three Musketeers. The lot was withdrawn from the market almost immediately, making these pieces rare and of the highest collector interest.

Fountain Pen (F)
Serial Number: 08358 / 20000 N
Nib: Solid bi-color 18k gold (750) finely decorated with the French lily.
Grading: Fine (F) – The original paper sticker "F / Germany" on the barrel is still present, testifying that the pen has never been used or inked.
Loading: Leverless (cartridge/converter-free) – Actually, it is piston-fushion? (The original says A stantuffo, which means piston-filler.)
