Extraordinary photograph by master Luigi Veronesi, 33 x 28 format, mounted with passe-partout
acid-free format 45.5 x 64.5 cm. Printed by Mario Parodi in his workshop in Genoa, the photograph is in excellent condition with very light moisture stains on the sheet that supports the print, while the passe-partout is perfect. For refined collectors.

Luigi Veronesi (1908-1998) Milanese, a central figure of Italian abstraction. He lives, in the Milanese city, the creative ferment of the thirties, first entering with figurative photographic works in the Galleria del Milione, a decisive center for the cultural artistic and “promotional” aspects of the artists most promising of those years. He then approaches abstraction in the early thirties, joining the 1935 “Mostra collettiva d'arte astratta” in Turin at the workshops of Felice Casorati and Enrico Paolucci. Already in 1934 he joined the Parisian group Abstraction-Creation, actively engaging with the German Bauhaus. From the forties he undertakes experimentation with filmic technique, creating as many as 6 abstract films, of which today only some fragments remain unprojectable. The experimentation continues in the following years; the last abstract film is from 1980. A versatile artist, he was also interested in music and screenwriting; his painting activity continued until his death in Milan in 1998.
