Description from the seller
Pablo Picasso: “Le Chien, 1907”.
Authorized silkscreen print.
Condition: the work is in excellent condition.
Publisher: authorized art publisher.
Format: 60 x 50 cm.
The high-quality silkscreen print underscores the graphic quality of the motif and gives the work a clear, pronounced presence.
Picasso's concise animal scenes belong to the most charming examples of his playful drawing.
With a few precise lines, the artist manages to capture movement, character and expression in an impressive way.
The motif “Le Chien” shows a humorous and at the same time elegant portrayal of a dachshund. The clear graphic structure and the minimalist visual language give the sheet a timeless modern feel.
The composition impresses with its reduced, expressive linework and a direct, vivid imagery. It is precisely the animal subjects from this phase that possess their own character and clearly distinguish themselves from later, heavily abstracted works.
Never been framed and is kept in a dark archival storage between protective acid-free paper.
The photos shown are part of the description.
