Description from the seller
Rare Set of 2 Fox Sculptures by Michel Audiard – "Le NR" Millennium Edition (2000)
Unique opportunity for collectors of exclusive writing instruments and modern art. Offered is an exceptional set of two handmade "stylo-sculptures" by the well-known French sculptor Michel Audiard (born 1951).
These pens are specially designed and cast for the millennium (year 2000), in cooperation with the French daily La Nouvelle République. The sculptures beautifully depict the years 1944 (the founding year of the newspaper) and 2000.
The set consists of two different, high-quality versions:
Fully Silver Edition (Solid): An extremely rare, heavy variant where both the detailed sculptural cap and the holder are made entirely of silver.
Silver & Ebony Edition (Épicurien): The classic edition with the silver sculptural cap combined with a beautiful, classically marbled ebony (vulcanite) holder.
Condition and Accessories:
Both pens are in excellent collector's condition.
Includes the original Plexiglas presentation stand (as pictured).
Includes the original historic document and newspaper clipping from La Nouvelle République that serves as an authenticity certificate (COA).
Each pen by Michel Audiard is a unique work of art (Pièce Unique), crafted using the lost-wax method (cire perdue). A splendid ensemble that rarely appears on the market as a complete set of two different editions.
