ABOUT THE ARTIST
Fernando Bellver is a multidisciplinary visual artist whose career spans painting, printmaking, sculpture, drawing and photography. He has received prestigious fellowships, including one in Oslo and another in Rome, and has taught as a visiting lecturer at institutions such as the University of Austin, consolidating his training and international reputation. His exhibitions and fairs span four continents, and his style displays an ironic mix of references, ranging from pop art to comics and postmodern aesthetics.
His work in printmaking has been recognised with awards such as the Gold Medal at the Cairo and Alexandria Biennales and the 2008 National Graphic Art Prize. His travel journals and creative rhythm — three months of painting, three of sculpture, three of printmaking — reflect a vital process linked to humour and aesthetic exploration.
