Antique pocket or chatelaine cigar cutter (also known as a cigar cutter or cheroot cutter), presumably dating from the Victorian or Edwardian period (late 19th to early 20th century), featuring Art Nouveau-style decorations.

Material and workmanship: made of silver-plated metal or silver alloy, finished with floral or classic raised motifs and equipped with a small ring at the end to be attached to a pocket watch chain (watch fob) or to a belt ornament (chatelaine).

Operation: Features a folding scissor- or spring-type mechanism with an integrated blade, designed to cut the tip of cigars before smoking.

Condition: Shows a light patina of age and signs of oxidation typical of antique silver or mixed-metal objects.
