Description from the seller

Watkins Glen: Sail into Silence
This captivating photograph, captured on a late afternoon in Watkins Glen, New York, is a masterclass in tranquility and compositional harmony. It presents a serene, golden-hued panorama of Seneca Lake, where the vast sky blends seamlessly into the water's surface.
The composition is defined by delicate, horizontal layers of texture. The foreground features the rich, wavy ripples of the water, rendered in deep purples and warm ambers, reflecting the sunset's light. Above, the sky is a gradient of soft peach, gold, and dusty rose, offering a vast, peaceful expanse.
Centered perfectly between the distant, silhouetted headlands is a graceful, two-masted schooner. Its slender form provides the sole vertical element, creating a powerful focal point that anchors the entire scene. The ship appears small against the scale of the nature, emphasizing the overwhelming sense of peace and the vastness of the water.
This image is a moment of stillness, a meditation on the beauty of a day’s end. The soft, natural light creates a sophisticated atmosphere that is both calming and elegant, making it an ideal piece for any space seeking a touch of timeless, natural serenity.

Seller's Story

From Office Files to Times Square: My Journey in Light Hello, I am Viktoria Farkas. My artistic journey is proof that it is never too late to reinvent yourself. Until recently, I was working in an office environment, but in 2020, I embarked on a life-changing adventure to the United States. My mission was twofold: to master a new language and to dive deep into the world of photography. Trading my office chair for a camera, New York City became my classroom. I had the privilege of learning from renowned masters like Lindsay Adler and connecting with professionals like Norbi Bánhalmi. What started as a search for new possibilities quickly turned into a true calling. My breakthrough moment came when one of my photographs was selected by the Art Square NY gallery to be displayed on a giant billboard in Times Square—a long way from the office files where I started. This passion has taken me from hunting for lighthouses in Maine to chasing waterfalls in Watkins Glen, eventually leading to the publication of my visual autobiography, "Lens and Life," featuring my 100 favorite black-and-white images. Today, based in Budapest but available worldwide, photography is more than just a skill for me—it is my true love language and the way I connect with the world.
