On this square format, Medsan places Sailor Moon standing on the edge of a rocky cliff, facing the sea, at night. Usagi Tsukino reaches her right arm toward the sky and raises her scepter at the crescent moon, her gaze turned toward the celestial body; her two long blonde twin tails float in wide curls on either side of her body, reaching the edges of the scene. She wears the white sailor uniform with the blue collar, the red bow on the chest, the blue pleated skirt, and the red boots with turned-down tops. At her feet, Luna, the black cat with a crescent on the forehead, sits and looks toward us.

Behind them, a vast blue wave crests and crashes white foam onto boats caught in the surge, as the full moon occupies the top of the sky. On the right, a red torii rises on the coastline, a cherry blossom branch enters the frame, and snowy Mount Fuji closes the horizon; pink petals drift through the night blue. In the upper left and right, two gold cartouches bear Japanese characters, and at the bottom right the cartouche メドサン.
