The pen is presented in very good overall condition, showing a remarkable level of conservation both aesthetically and functionally. The body in black precious resin maintains a deep, uniform shine, with elegant reflections that enhance its sophisticated character. At first glance, no significant wear or loss of material is evident, only very light micro-scratches typical of careful use, visible only under careful observation.

The metal components — clip, rings, and platinum-finished details — preserve their integrity and original shine, with no signs of corrosion or significant wear. The clip maintains proper tension and alignment, ensuring practical and reliable use.

The translucent top cap with the Montblanc floating emblem is in excellent condition, without cracks or opacities, maintaining its characteristic clean and defined visual effect.

The 14-karat gold nib, at a B (Broad) point, is in very good condition. No deformations or misalignments are observed, and the tip retains its original geometry. The feed and flow have been checked, guaranteeing smooth, generous, and steady writing, in accordance with this nib size.

The grip section shows an excellent state, with the characteristic textured pattern well defined, without noticeable wear, ensuring an optimal ergonomic experience.

As the only detail to mention, there is a small identifying tag with the letter “B” on the body, presumably added for nib width identification. This element does not affect the functioning of the piece at all, although it constitutes a slight alteration outside the original configuration.

Conservation recommendations

It is recommended to use high-quality fountain pen inks, avoiding pigmented inks.
