The pen is presented in very good overall condition, showing remarkable preservation both aesthetically and functionally.

The black resin body maintains excellent shine and uniformity, with light micro-signs of use typical of a previously used piece, barely perceptible at a glance and not in the least affecting its visual presence. No cracks, chips, or deformations are observed.

The platinum-plated metallic cap, characteristic of the Doué version, is in very good condition, preserving its original satin finish with minimal surface marks from normal use. The clip shows good tension and correct alignment.

The metal finishes (rings and terminals) maintain a good overall state, with slight signs of handling but without significant material loss or relevant deterioration.

The floating Montblanc emblem at the top remains clean and well defined, with no cracks or damage, maintaining its characteristic visual effect.

The 14-carat gold nib is in very good condition, with no visible deformations, correctly aligned and ready to offer smooth writing. The pen has been inspected and tested, guaranteeing proper operation.

Overall, it is a very well-preserved piece, with light signs of use consistent with its nature, which do not affect either its aesthetics or its performance.

Conservation recommendations

To preserve the pen in optimal condition, it is recommended to use high-quality fountain pen inks, avoid pigmented inks, perform periodic cleanings with lukewarm water if not in use for a period, dry it completely before storage, and keep it in a dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. It is advisable to operate the filling system gently.
