Description from the seller

A0000005179

The pen is in excellent overall condition, displaying an impeccably attractive aesthetic and complete mechanical functionality after having been meticulously inspected. This is a beautiful and highly coveted example of German manufacturing Montblanc, belonging to the sophisticated and already-discontinued Bohème collection in its exclusive "Lacquer Pearl" version (Factory Reference 36009), characterized by combining high writing craftsmanship with jewelry-like details.

[ THE LACQUER BODY AND GUILLOCHE ENGRAVING ]

The central body or barrel stands out for its refined craftsmanship, built on a metallic base coated with a white pearl lacquer with subtle iridescent flashes that shift hue depending on the light incidence. The entire lacquered surface features an intricate and clean three-dimensional guilloché engraving with a pattern of waves and concentric circles perfectly executed, offering a very striking visual and tactile texture. The lacquer retains its original shine intact, free of chips, cracks, or enamel loss, presenting a smooth surface that has been meticulously cared for.

[ THE HORSESHOE CLIP AND THE AKOYA PEARL ]

The metallic and ornamental elements boast a sumptuous high-brightness gold plating, with a mirror-like polish that is very clean and free of wear in the friction zones. The front features the iconic arched clip in the shape of a horseshoe, characteristic of the Bohème line, at its base where a natural Akoya pearl in white nacre tone is masterfully set with perfect orient and no surface imperfections. At the apex, the piece is crowned by Montblanc’s six-point star emblem made of white resin on a flat black polished background.

[ MECHANICAL SECTION AND AUTHENTICITY DETAILS ]

Functionally, the instrument operates via a precise twist-action mechanism in the upper sector, which moves smoothly, firmly, and without play for the extraction and retraction of the nib. The triple gold-plated central ring presents magnificent relief engraving clarity, where the signatures "MONTBLANC" and "BOHÈME" are clearly readable. Likewise, the reverse of the clip retains, with absolute cleanliness, the individual serial number laser-engraved and the origin inscription "GERMANY" that ensures the piece’s authenticity.

[ OVERALL LOT ASSESSMENT ]

Overall, this is a contemporary high-end design piece in very good condition, breaking with the traditional sobriety of black resin to offer an aristocratic aesthetic of great collectible value. It remains an excellent writing instrument or a solid investment due to its status as a discontinued boutique model, which increases its appeal on the luxury secondary market.

[ CONSERVATION RECOMMENDATIONS ]

To ensure long-term optimal maintenance of the piece, it is recommended to clean the pearl lacquer surface and the gold-plated elements with a dry microfiber cloth after handling to prevent grease buildup or fingerprints. It is advised to use exclusively original Montblanc refills to guarantee smooth internal thread passage and to protect the pen inside its case when transporting to avoid metal rubbing with other objects.

[ SHIPPING AND PACKAGING DETAILS ]

The lot will be securely shipped in its original Bohème presentation rigid case with a black satin-lined interior, accompanied by its corresponding printed booklet "Service Guide" and the outer black textured carton outer box that retains its factory label with the matching reference code 36009.
