Bernard Cathelin (1919–2004) was a French painter and printmaker. He was best known for his colorful paintings of flowers, landscapes, and people. His style was figurative, with simplified shapes and large areas of vibrant color.

This litho is in excellent condition.

Bernard wrote a personal message on this exact Litho (next to the numbering) it refers to the place where it was first painted a temple in Japan “Tokonoma de Ryogen-in.
This message is not written on any other litho of this series.

The message, numbering and signature are all handwritten in pencil.
