This is a vintage Showa-era three-tiered jubako (stacking box) featuring a warm vermilion red lacquer finish, decorated with a flock of cranes rendered in gold, black, and red across the lid and each tier. The crane motif is a traditional Japanese design symbolizing good fortune and longevity, making this piece ideal for New Year celebrations, auspicious occasions, or as a decorative display item.
The piece features a lidded, three-tiered stacking structure. The interior is finished in black lacquer, creating a striking contrast with the vermilion exterior. This is an authentic vintage piece that was actually used in a Japanese household during the Showa era, having served to hold food for special occasions.
