Alfred Oberg was the official Montblanc distributor in Denmark starting in 1920. Between 1939 and 1967, with the approval of Montblanc in Hamburg, his company began designing and manufacturing Montblanc pens for the Danish market, provided they were not identical to the German versions. In 1944, when the Hamburg facility was bombed, the Danish factory stepped in to help, becoming the sole producer of Montblanc pens until the Hamburg plant was rebuilt.
