Original vintage print made around 1980 on Ilfochrome Classic (Cibachrome) paper by master printer Roland Dufau, originating from the photographer and reporter Mireille Vautier's personal archives.
This exceptional panoramic composition captures the mythical silhouette of Manhattan at sunset, dominated by the World Trade Center Twin Towers and the Empire State Building in the distance. The twilight chromatic nuances, the striking contrast and the incomparable gloss of the polyester support pay vibrant homage to New York architecture.
On the back, the work bears the archival label identifying the author, the title and the printer: Manhattan - Mireille Vautier - Tirage de Roland Dufau sur Ilfochrome classic.

Artist Biography:
Mireille Vautier, educated at Sciences Po Paris and holder of a Master’s degree from Cornell University (USA), conducted numerous ethnographic and photographic missions for UNESCO. Her work has been distributed by major photo press agencies, notably the ANA agency. Her work has received support and recognition from leading figures in international photography, including Joan Fontcuberta, winner of the Hasselblad Prize (the equivalent of the Nobel Prize in photography). Her reports and books have been published by prestigious publishers such as Actes Sud, Nathan and Hazan.
