This limited edition was originally launched in 2013 as a tribute to the renowned French novelist and playwright, creator of the monumental literary work La Comédie humaine.

The design of the piece is deeply inspired by 19th-century dandyism and Balzac himself.

The body: Its rounded, oversized silhouette evokes the writer's stout stature.

It features a dark gray lacquer decorated with fine lines that reproduce the design of the tailcoats typically worn by gentlemen of the era.

The cap: Made of black precious resin, it represents the shape of the hats worn by 19th-century high society.

The clip and rings: The platinum-colored clip pays homage to the richly decorated cane Balzac used to carry, topped with a turquoise lacquer detail. Meanwhile, the combination of gold- and platinum-plated rings symbolizes the stratification and the different social classes of France in his time.
