Description from the seller
For sale: an elegant, antique cigarette case made of solid 800-grade silver.
The case impresses with its timeless, geometric stripe decor in the classic Art Deco style.
On one corner of the front, there is a discreet, unengraved monogram field – ideal for personal customization.
The inside shows authentic age-related patina and features the original holders for the elastic cigarette bands.
A fine silver stamp (800) is clearly visible on the push button of the clasp.
The locking mechanism works flawlessly and snaps shut cleanly and firmly.
A solid piece of craftsmanship for collectors and lovers of historical smoking utensils.
- Material: 800 silver (stamped on the push button)
- Weight: 113.2 grams (weighed on a calibrated precision balance)
- Dimensions: approx. 10.7 cm x 8.2 cm
- Style: Art Deco / Vintage-
- Condition: good antique original condition with age-appropriate signs and beautiful surface patina (details see photos).
- Pattern: geometrical stripe decor
Era: Art Deco (1920–1940) or mid-20th century (Choose from the menu suggestion)
- Manufacturer / Designer: Unknown (since no definite maker’s mark or master mark is visible besides the silver hallmark).
- Country of origin: Germany (due to the typical 800 mark without additional foreign control marks).
- Model: Cigarette case
- Style: Art Deco
Due to the pure 800 fineness stamp and the strictly linear design, this case most likely comes from one of the major German jewelry and silver centers of the 1920s/1930s, such as Pforzheim or Hanau. In this Art Deco era, finely machine-engraved striped patterns (guilloché) were the hallmark of German manufactories (such as Lutz & Weiß or Louis Kuppenheim) for upscale urban smoking accessories.
Good antique original condition with age-appropriate signs and beautiful surface patina, fully functional.
The cigarette case will be packed securely and shipped with a tracking number.
