Mario Botta, Artifici, a 1994 aquaforte in a limited edition of 100 (97/100), hand-signed, on premium paper with a sheet size of 46 by 35 cm and a plate size of 23 by 23 cm, of Italian origin and depicting architecture, in excellent condition.
Description from the seller
Mario Botta – Original etching (e.g. 97/100)
Signed, dated and kept in a folder.
Sheet size 46x35
Plate size 23x23
This original etching by Mario Botta, an internationally renowned architect, represents a rare and precious testament to his design vision transposed into the language of art graphics. The work, dated December 1994 and signed by the author, is entitled "X Artificio", and is part of a limited edition of 100 numbered copies (this is number 97/100).
Created with an incisive, clean, architectural mark, the image shows a geometric and dynamic composition, recalling recognizable elements of Botta's poetics: essential volumes, rational structures, spaces strongly defined. The building at the center, enclosed between lines that intersect and overlap, seems to emerge as a mental construct, more than a physical one, highlighting the continuity between drawing and project, between idea and space.
The work is printed with great quality on fine paper, and kept in an editorial folder. An object destined for collectors, architects, and enthusiasts of contemporary graphics.
Shipment well-packaged and within 5 days from the auction closing.
