Giuseppe Fortunato, is a renowned contemporary artist whose career began early, his first show abroad in 1983 at the age of only 27.
A turning point in his career occurred in the 1980s with the Assempaforismo.
Towards the end of the 1980s, he created the IMAGES movement together with other Abruzzese artists.
In 2013 he founded the Giuseppe Fortunato Foundation, dedicated to archiving and sharing his artistic legacy.
Fortunato's artistic career has been marked by his exploration of deep and non-superficial emotions.
He achieved early success in Italy and broadened his reach in the United Kingdom and throughout Europe and in the USA
As a painter, sculptor and designer, Giuseppe Fortunato's work has evolved toward a surreal aesthetics, ultimately arriving at his characteristic "Colate" style: colorful and fluid enamels applied to large flat surfaces.
