Description from the seller
Neo-Gothic brass mirror
Description:
Elegant vintage mirror with an elaborate brass frame, dated approximately in the decades circa 1950.
The decoration stands out for its neo-Gothic architectural-inspired design, with vegetal motifs, small fleur-de-lis, pierced elements repeated around the entire perimeter and large ornaments in the four corners. The metalwork is especially detailed and lends the mirror a very decorative and uncommon appearance.
The brass preserves an attractive natural patina produced by the passage of time, with small areas of oxidation and tonal variations that enhance its antique character. The mirror glass shows marks and signs typical of its age, visible in the photographs.
At the back it retains the supporting panel and a metal chain for hanging.
Approximate dimensions: 60 × 70 cm.
Material: brass, glass and rear wooden panel.
Era: approximately 1930–1940.
It is in vintage condition, with signs of use and wear consistent with its age. The photographs form an integral part of the description and show in detail its condition.
