SALVADOR DALÍ (1904–1989)

Figure with an Ermine Cloak (Figure in an Ermine Cloak)

1975

Original copperplate etching on Arches France paper, made for the suite The Life Is a Dream, inspired by the famous work by Pedro Calderón de la Barca.

The composition presents at the top an elaborate architectural and literary structure accompanied by surrealist calligraphic elements, while in the lower area there is a linear-drawn equestrian figure, characteristic of Dalí's graphic language. Dalí's signature incorporated on the plate.

High-quality paper and bearded edges of origin. The sheet retains wide margins.
