Description from the seller
Attention: the work is sold rolled in a tube, signed and with a certificate of authenticity. The edition is unique, so the pieces of the work are 9 in total with 1 artist's proof, which means you won't find other dimensions with different pieces available.
Giuseppe Palmisano was born on November 4 in Ceglie Messapica, a small town in Puglia. He grows up among flour and traditions and comes into contact with art as a teenager, starting to do theater and clowning. All of this, together with a strong fascination for symbols, aesthetics and scenography, pushed me to buy a camera and to begin investigating the relationship between man and the space that surrounds him. In 2009 he moved to Rome, where he began working for a theatre company. In the following years he changed about thirty homes and lived in ten different cities. In 2012 he began a new photographic exploration based on the figure of the woman, seen as the supreme expression of nature. The role—and the image—of the woman has always been central in his work, and his aim is to strip that image of its intrinsic erotism. From here iosonopipo was born. In 2019 I decided to sell the artistic identity of iosonopipo on a well-known auction site. It was bought by Francesco R. After 3 years the archive was purchased by Mario Mondaini Studio and Giuseppe returns to direct it to continue investigating identity, using it as an encounter between people, as a liberating and cathartic moment. He currently lives in Milan.
